== <nowiki>#</nowiki>26: SPF Council's Official Positions

== <nowiki>#</nowiki>26: Positions within the council

2006 SPF Council has two official positions: council chair, who chairs the meeting and is responsible for meeting agenda and council secretary, who is responsible for meeting minutes and publication of council resolutions. The 2006 SPF Council does not have a separate position of an executive director, with responsibilities of that position shared among all council members.

Within the council, there are the following special positions:

* <wiki>The ''Council Chair'' presides and moderates the council meetings, and prepares the meeting agendas with input from the council.</wiki>

(Proposed on 2006-02-04 by William Leibzon.  Passed unanimously. )

* <wiki>The ''Council Secretary'' records and publishes minutes of the council meetings, the council votes and their results, and such other documentation as the council may direct.

The ''Council Secretary'' also summarizes and reports the council's other activities to the spf-discuss mailing list, in a way such that personal or otherwise sensitive information, as judged by the council, is not disclosed.</wiki>

The former position of ''[[Council Resolution/6|Council Executive Director]]'' no longer exists.  Its responsibilities are now those of all council members.
